Participants may be responsible for fees for certain third-party courses, tests, and certifications required for their mining assignment or subsequent trade position.
Before any commitment or payment, JJS will provide an itemized explanation of applicable charges, what each charge covers, who provides the training, and any cancellation or refund terms.
JJS will cover approved, required community-college tuition as specified in the participant’s written agreement. This does not mean that every certification, course, book, or related expense is included.
Participants will not be charged costs that applicable law requires JJS or an employer to pay. Mandatory mine safety training and employer-required equipment will be assessed separately before any charges are offered.
